| Abstract: | Based on of a previously proposed model for describing the effect of the electric field of the ion on the vapor-liquid phase transition, expressions for the work of formation of the critical nucleus in highly polar substances were derived. Analytical expressions for the nucleation frequency were obtained and used to calculate the heterogeneous nucleation frequency in a supersaturated water vapor. |
