| Abstract: | Summary A method for approximating the optimal control and the optimal state for a class of distributed control problems governed by variational inequalities is given. It uses a Rayleigh-Ritz-Galerkin scheme, regularising techniques and a gradient algorithm. A numerical example is given. |
