Magnetoelastic vibrations of an electrically conductive elastic layer in a longitudinal magnetic field

Based on the exact solution of a coupled problem of the magnetoelastic vibrations of an elastic electrically conductive layer (for a finite value of its electrical conductance) in a longitudinal magnetic field, we have established that, in the case of such vibrations of a thin plate, one can obtain correct results proceeding from Kirchhoff’s hypothesis and the hypothesis of magnetoelasticity of thin bodies.
