Abstract: | The two-zone model is used to investigate the influence of nonmagnetic scattering on the superconducting transition temperature. The transition temperature decreases with increasing impurity concentration, and either saturates or goes to zero exponentially at a critical concentration. The type of behaviour is determined by the interaction parameter η∞, which is calculated from the parameters of the model. |
