The electron in a nuclear field problem for highly excited states

A variant of statement of the problem on highly excited states of an electron (Rydberg states in the limit) in the field of nuclei has been considered. It has been shown that this problem can be reduced to the one-center problem with a variable positive charge. The general solution can be found as a linear combination of basis functions corresponding to the stationary states of the single-center model.
