Influence of substituents on rate constants for recombination of secondary and primary peroxy radicals |

Abstract: | A linear correlation has been found between the logarithm of rate constants (2kt) for the recombination of secondary peroxy radicals (ROO) and the constants of substituents, R:1g 2kt=(6.84±0.03)+(2.60±0.10) . Rate constant for the recombination of primary peroxy radicals proves to be independent of the substituent nature: 1g 2kt=8.5±0.4.
