| Abstract: | Based on the group theory of molecules, the quantum mechanical calculations, it is first time to prove and confirm that the equilibrium conformation of tetrahydrofuran[THF] is C1 symmetry with the helix surface, i.e. the sugar ring of [THF] is not a plane. This is a new discovery. |
