Abstract: | We propose an approach to the approximation of solutions of problems for the heat-conduction equation without initial or boundary-value
conditions. The solution is given as a sum of odd and even functions, and this allows one to reconstruct conditions missed
in the initial setting of the problem. The method is illustrated with test examples. Bibliography: 1 title.
