Abstract: | The bouncing motion of aqueous drops between two oppositely charged electrodes has been observed. However, the forward and backward velocities of the drops are nonuniform in some cases because of unknown reasons. In this study, the velocity difference was mainly caused by the distribution of ions that altered the electric field strength between the electrodes. This result yielded accurate control of the drops in the electric field and opened opportunities for industrial applications. |
