Abstract: | A series of Cu(II)-coordinated Schiff bases complexes were synthesized and their supramolecular assemblies at the air/water interface were investigated. These complexes can form stable monolayer or multilayer films at the air/water interface, which represent discrete change of morphology and spectra, depending on the chosen coordinating modes. In addition, narcissistic self-sorting appears when the mixtures of the binary or ternary complexes were characterized at the air/water interface, demonstrating the spontaneous high affinity of molecules for themselves. |
