| Abstract: | When superconductivity of the first kind in a cylinder is strongly suppressed by a current, only superconducting fluctuations exist near the sample axis. This one-dimensional “mixed” state is destroyed near some critical current. The width of the transition region is the smaller the purer the sample. |
