A laplace transform technique for calculating diffusion time lags

Abstract:A simple formula for diffusional time lags is derived for systems governed by linear equations with source terms. This formula is used to calculate the time lag for systems in which diffusion, dissolution and reversible or irreversible reactions occur. It is also shown that time lags can be calculated for nondiffusional systems. The application of time lags to pharmacokinetics is discussed in particular
