| Abstract: | In this paper the authors exhibit a family of 4-dimensional compact solvemanifolds. Each member M
3(k) of the family possesses all of the topological properties of a compact Kähler manifold, yet M
3(k) can have no complex structure. The proof uses Kodaira's classification of compact surfaces. |
