Abstract:Summary A linear free energy relationship has been proposed between stepwise rate constants and the overall stability constants of the intermediates of the type FeL(OH)(CN)x (where x=0, 1, 2 and 3) formed in the five step reaction mechanism of CN with FeLOH, where L denotes aminocarboxylatesviz. EDTA, HEDTA and DTPA.
