Abstract:The design and testing of amperometric glucose biosensor was described, in which electrical communication between the flavin redox centers of glucose oxidase and a conventional carbon paste electrode has been achieved by using electron-transfer mediator based on tetrabutylammonium-tetra-cyanoquinodimethane(TBA -TCNQ-). Characteristics of the biosensor has been shown by cyclic voltammetry. The experimental results show that TBA -TCNQ- can act as an efficient electron transfet mediator between GODox/GODred centers and a carbon paste electrode.
