Ruthenium-catalyzed glycine-selective oxidative backbone modification of peptides

Abstract:The reaction of N,C-protected peptides containing glycine residues with peracetic acid in the presence of a ruthenium catalyst gives greek small letter alpha-ketoamides derived from the oxidation at the Cgreek small letter alpha position of the glycine residues selectively.
