| Abstract: | New mixed nitric and sulfuric esters of pentaerythritol, viz., 5, 5-bis(nitroxymethyl)-1, 3-dioxa-2-thiacyclohexane 2, 2-dioxide and 5, 11-bis(nitroxymethyl)-1, 3, 7, 9-tetraoxa-2, 8-dithiacyclododecane 2, 2, 8, 8-tetroxide, were synthesized by the reaction of pentaerythritol dinitrate with sulfuryl chloride (followed by alkaline treatment) and bis(chlorosulfonyl) pentaerythritol dinitrate, respectively.__________Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk.
