Abstract:The complex resins prepared from macroporous sulfonated resin D72(H^+ form) with ferric chloride or ferric chloride hexahydrate have both sites of Bronsted acid and Lewis acid.In the catalysis of exterification of acetic acid with butanol the complex resins show to have much higher catalytic activity than that of its matrix.a conventional sulfonated cation exchange resin D72.
