Abstract: | The effect of phase composition of Ti-20 at % Cr alloy on its anodic behavior in the solutions containing aggressive Cl− and Br− anions and, for comparison, non-aggressive SO42− anion is studied. Different phase compositions of the alloy were obtained by using different modes of heat treatment. The features of anodic behavior of alloys with various phase compositions are related to the electrochemical properties of titanium and chromium, their tendency to passivation and breakdown of passivity in the presence of various anions. |
