Abstract: | Summary A tetradentate Schiff base derived from diacetyl monoxime and m-phenylenediamine (H2mphdao2) reacts in MeOH with NiI2 to form the trinuclear complex Ni3(mphdao2)2I2, which was characterized by elemental and thermal analyses, and i.r. and u.v.-vis. spectroscopies. The magnetic properties have been investigated in the 4.2–300 K range. |
