| Abstract: | The MINDO/2 method has been used to generate a complete set of force constants for some simple carbonyl compounds i.e. carbon dioxide, formyl cation, formaldehyde and ketene. Results for carbon monoxide are also recorded. The predicted vibrational frequencies are compared with experiment, and the general usefulness of the method is discussed. |
