The standard enthalpy of formation of γ-UO₃ has been critically assessed; the value ?(292.5 ± 0.2) kcal_th mol^?1 is suggested.The enthalpies of solution of β-UO₃ and γ-UO₃ in 3 M H₂SO₄ have been measured and used to derive:
