| Abstract: | An efficient route for the synthesis of 4‐substituted‐2‐quinolinone‐3‐carboxylic acid ethyl esters has been developed through Suzuki or Sonogashira reactions. The advantages of the method include high yields, operational simplicity, and suitability for medicinal modification of 4‐substituted quinolinones and their derivatives. |
