Innovations — potential applications for an irradiator for pumpable liquids |

| Abstract: | The successful operation of the irradiator built by PURIDEC/NUKEM for the Malaysian Institute of Technology for the radiation vulcanisation of natural rubber latex indicates that similar designs of irradiation plant might find application in other processes involving pumpable liquids. The authors review these applications and describe the benefits offered by the new irradiator design. |
