Abstract:The preliminary design of a new Pseudospark (PS) chamber-high power,intense current density, lower emittunce and high brightness electron beam source driven bya modified water-filled Blumlein pulse-forming line is presented. Based on the hollow cathode(HC) effect and the Pseudesperk empirical formula, various parametors including the HC andthe cathode-anode separation,the working gas pressure region are given. The general experimental scheme of high-brightness PS-produced electron ham is shown.
