Convexity of Images of Convex Sets under Smooth Maps |

| Abstract: | The article presents sufficient conditions for convexity of images of convex sets under smooth mappings of finite-dimensional spaces of the same dimensions. Applications of the results to nonlinear programming are discussed. Efficient convexity tests are derived for images of Lebesgue sets of convex functions under C1, 1 maps. |
