| Abstract: | Perfluoro-2-azido-1-azacyclohexene can be prepared by treating perfluoro-1-azacyclohexene with an equimolar proportion of sodium azide (in acetonitrile) or azidotrimethylsilane under mild conditions; 19F n.m.r. analysis reveals that this new imidoyl azide participates in ring ° chain valence tautomerism, the tetrazolo-isomer constituting 19% of the equilibrium mixture at 35 °C. |
