Abstract:In this paper, we determine the asymptotic behavior for the squared degree of polarization of nonmonochromatic radiation propagating in a large-length fiber with random irregularities. It is found that the average squared degree of polarization tends to zero with the fiber length as the inverse square root of the fiber length.
