| Abstract: | A photometric method for the determination of magnesium in the presence of up to 50-fold excess of calcium is described. A magnesium-Azovan Blue lake is formed, stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol, and the absorbance is measured (Kodak No. 7 filter). The method has been used to determine magnesium in sera. |
