| Abstract: | A general survey is given of the properties of tetrachlorogallate(III) complexes with basic dyestuffs of the triphenylmethane and diphenylnaphthylmethane class; solvents for extraction, the absorption spectra and molar absorptivities, the optimum concentrations of the dyestuffs and of hydrochloric acid, the stability of the compounds and their composition are also described. Analytical methods for the determination of traces of gallium by means of many of these complexes are suggested. |
