| Abstract: | The authors establish that Z---Si and Z---SiMe3 (Z = C, N, O) bond optical anisotropies are positive. This report involving conformational aspect of the compounds Me3MCH2CHMe2 (M = C, Si), Me3SiOCHMe2 and Me3SiN(Me)CHMe2 brings a complementary argument in favour of the positive sign of these anisotropies. |
