Abstract:The first supramolecular adduct (H3O)2Cu(H2O)4](SO4)2?(C30H30N20O10)?4(H2O) based on cucurbit5]uril was synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In the adduct, copper ion is coordi-nated by four oxygen atoms from H2O. The latter links two cucurbit5]uril molecules due to a complicated hydro-gen bonding containing lattice water molecules.
