| Abstract: | The molecular structure of 1‐methylpyrrolidine‐2,5‐dione, C5H7NO2, corresponds to the dicarbonyl tautomer with an envelope ring conformation. The packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular hydrogen bonds and presents push–pull nucleophile–electrophile interactions of the carbonyl groups. |
