Tetra­butyl­ammonium α‐acetyl‐γ‐butyrolactonate containing a three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded network

The title compound, C₁₆H₃₆N⁺·C₆H₇O₃^?, crystallizes with two independent anions and two independent cations in the asymmetric unit. Each anion adopts an s‐trans conformation and forms O?H—C hydrogen bonds to the α‐methyl­ene groups of four neighbouring tetra­butyl­ammonium cations, to create a three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded network.
