| Abstract: | Based on the theory of fracture mechanism,a new criterion of fracture (fracture work) for resin-bonded sand is proposed. The measuring method for fracture work in resin-bonded sand core is described. The fracture work of PEP SET resin-bonded sand and phenol-formaldehyde resin precoated sand have been tested. The new criterion has been verified in core production of the head of a diesel engine with 6 cylinders. |
