Reaction of aromatic o-diamines with isatins. 2. 2,3-diaminonaphthalene

The reaction of 2,3-diaminonaphthalene with isatins gives a mixture of indolo2, 3-b]benzog]quinoxalines, 3-(2-aminophenyl)-2(1H)-benzog]quinoxalines, and spiro (2,3-d]imidazoline)-2,3-indolin-2ones.
