Abstract: | Bi-Langmuir isotherms are calculated from the data on sorption of bovine serum albumin and cytochrome c on carboxylic cation exchangers with different ionogenic group contents. The calculated data are compared with the experimental data on the sorption of the proteins from mixed solutions. It is established that, for the protein smaller in size (cytochrome c) on the cation exchanger with the smallest amount of ionogenic groups, the results obtained agree well with each other. For bovine serum albumin, which has higher interaction energy with the sorbent, only qualitative agreement is observed. |
