Polymer-Supported 4-Aminoformoyldiphenylammonium Triflate (PS-AFDPAT): An Effective and Recyclable Catalyst for the Biginelli Reaction

Abstract:Polymer-supported 4-aminoformoyldiphenylammonium triflate (PS-AFDPAT) was used as an effective catalyst for the synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones (DHPMs) via the Biginelli reaction. This immobilized catalyst could be easily recovered by simple filtration and recycled for 10 runs without significant decrease of the catalytic activity.
