| Abstract: | A quadruple calix[4]arene has been synthesized efficiently from the known diaminocalix[4]arene and 4,4′-biphenyldisulfonyl chloride in just one step (38% yield). The compound has been fully characterized including the determination of the X-ray crystal structure. |
