| Abstract: | The treatment of enolizable ketones containing a conjugated double bond, namely benzalacetones with [hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo]benzene, leads to regioselective tosyloxylation, thereby giving new compounds (α-tosyloxybenzalacetones). |
