| Abstract: | Anhydrous indium trichloride (InCl3) is found to catalyze the electrophilic substitution reaction of indole with aromatic aldehydes and Schiff's bases which resulted in an efficient synthesis of bis-indolylmethanes in good to excellent yield. |
