| Abstract: | Aliphatic and aromatic amines are efficiently acylated by acetic, pivalic, benzoic, phthalic, or maleic anhydrides in ethyl acetate at room temperature. Under the same experimental conditions, amino alcohols are chemoselectively acylated at the amino group. |
