Abstract: | A new heteroannular cyclopalladated ferrocene derivative [PdCl{C5H4FeC5H4CH2NCH–C4H3S}(PPh3)] (6) was synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, high resolution mass spectroscopy, and its molecular structure was further confirmed by X-ray crystal structure determination. According to the crystal structure, the palladium atom is bound to the unsubstituted Cp ring, showing the four-coordinate structure typical of palladium complexes. A preliminary application of these novel cyclopalladated complexes in Mizoroki–Heck reaction is also to be demonstrated in this paper. |
