An effective mass analysis in cosmic ray jets

The method of invariant mass spectra of groups of particles, known from the search for multiparticle resonant states in high energy physics, is applied to secondary particles in cosmic ray jets. The results are discussed in connection with the fire-ball model and the H-quanta model for the multiple production of particles in a very high energy region.The authors would like to thank Dr. J. L.
