Sums of Element Orders in Finite Groups |

| Abstract: | Given a finite group G, write ψ(G) to denote the sum of the orders of the elements of G. Our main result is that if C is a cyclic group and G is a noncyclic group of the same order, then ψ(G) < ψ(C). |
