Abstract:Molecular absorption, spectrometry with electrothermal volatilization in a graphite tube. Part 5. Determination of iodide traces by molecular absorption of TlI.The molecular absorption of thermally stable TlI, generated by evaporation in a normal graphite cuvette, is suitable for the determination of traces of iodide in small samples. Optimal conditions are described, and interferences are discussed. The reciprocal sensitivities relative to 0.01 absorbance are 80 ng of iodide at 202 nm and 160 ng of ng J- (380.4 nm).
