| Abstract: | The rearrangement of 1H-2,3-benzoxazine derivatives has been investigated. The reaction affords cyclic hemiaminal derivatives for their conversion to the corresponding 1-arylisobenzofurans, which can be trapped by various dienophiles to afford skeletal congeners of 1-arylnaphthalene lignans. |
