Relativistic compton profiles for rare gases

Two recent expressions for the momentum representation of relativistic hydrogenic wavefunctions are used to compute the K, L₁, L₂ and L₃ Subshell Compton profiles in the impulse approximation. The specific results presented refer to ³⁶Kr, ⁵⁴Xe and ⁸⁶Rn. It is shown that by making a judicious choice of the screening parameters one can use the approach to obtain numbers for relativistic impulse Compton profiles which are in good agreement with those obtained from self-consistent field calculations.
