| Abstract: | An efficient method for the regioselective enhancement of the nucleophilicity of polyhydroxy compounds has been developed. Partial stannylation of carbohydrate with (Bu3Su)2O and subsequent electrophilic attack with benzoyl chloride gave rise to regioselectively benzoylated product. |
