Kinetic spectrophotometric study of the reaction of the diphenylaminyl radical with ethylbenzene

Conclusions A method of determining the rate constants of the reaction of the diphenylaminyl radical with a hydrocarbon based on the kinetics of accumulation of the products of the reaction between aminyl and peroxide radicals in experiments on decomposition of tetraphenylhydrazine in an O₂-saturated hydrocarbon was developed. The rate constant of the reaction of the diphenylaminyl radical with ethylbenzene was measured with this method (0.7 liters/mole · sec at 348.5 K).Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 8, pp. 1732–1737, August, 1987.
